ABA & Trade Groups Urge Lawmakers to Make Room for NIST

down-arrow

Along with a multitude of trade groups from several industries, the American Bankers Association urged lawmakers recently to make room for NIST, especially following Trump's Executive Order requiring many to comply, regardless of the proposed financing cut.

“Pound for pound and dollar for dollar, few government entities have done as much as NIST to help businesses strengthen their cybersecurity in collective ways,” the letter wrote.

Supporters include the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Internet Security Alliance, Information Technology Industry Council (ITI), Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council (FSSCC), College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME), American Gas Association (AGA), and many others.
