An **IT Risk Assessment Report **is a tool used to analyze potential security threats and the impact they would have on a business or organization. This type of report aims to help IT security teams and other stakeholders understand risks and plan investments to shore up security weaknesses.

A risk assessment report also identifies the costs an organization would face during data loss, ransomware attacks, and any legal action by customers or business partners.
