Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) is a [cybersecurity](https://www.cybersaint.io/cybersecurity/cybersecurity-platform) framework and approach that operates on the principle of "never trust, always verify.”

Zero Trust Architecture addresses the evolving threat landscape, where traditional network perimeters are becoming less effective at protecting against sophisticated cyberattacks. It acknowledges that threats can originate both externally and internally and aims to minimize the attack surface and limit the potential damage that can occur if an attacker gains access. Implementing Zero Trust can be a complex process involving technological changes, organizational culture, and practice changes. However, it has become a critical approach for modern cybersecurity, especially in environments where remote work, cloud computing, and mobile devices are prevalent.
